Tea Leaves Preservation

10

  1. Keep Dry: Tea leaves are easily damaged by moisture. It is highly recommended to use tea pots with good sealing design for placement to prevent the change of tea smell. After roasting, tea has low moisture but high humidity absorption. It is easy to mold and deteriorate after tea becomes damp. Therefore, tea cans should be placed in a dry place indoors.
  2. Avoid Direct Sunlight: Sun exposure will affect the shape and quality of tea resulting in declined quality. Tea cans should be kept away from doors, windows and walls to avoid deterioration. Even if tea is damp, it can only be baked with simmer but not under sun exposure.
  3. Prevention Odor Mixture: Tea should be placed to avoid being adjacent to heavily odorous and fragrant substances to easily deteriorate tea quality and lose drinking value.
